My Story

Daniel Bosley is a British writer who found his way into journalism via the Republic of Maldives, spending almost a decade living and working in the Indian Ocean nation. During this time, he edited the English language news outlet Minivan News as well as reporting for international publications including Reuters and The Economist.

He subsequently co-founded the history and culture website Two Thousand Isles, documenting the Maldives' imperilled island culture in the face of social upheaval and the climate crisis.

His first book, Descent Into Paradise: A Journalist's Memoir of the Untold Maldives, which chronicles his time in the country, was published by Pan MacMillan India in 2023.
